The Souls We Meet Along the Way 🌿💙

A few days of hiking with wonderful friends,, fresh air and reconnecting with the simple beauty of being outside. And standing here in Dancer Pose beside beautiful Blue Lake, I found myself reflecting on a meditation by Melody Beattie, “See How Each Soul Has Touched You.”

It invites us to pause and recognise the people who have shaped our lives — those who have loved us, challenged us, supported us, taught us something, or simply crossed our path for a moment.

There is something about being in nature that creates space for this kind of reflection. With each step, the noise of everyday life softens, and we have time to notice what — and who — really matters.

Dancer Pose feels like the perfect expression of this: balance, strength, openness and grace, while staying grounded.

We are shaped not only by the places we travel through, but by the people we meet along the way.

Some stay for years. Some for only a moment. But each leaves something behind.

As these days together comes to an end, I'm carrying more than beautiful views and tired legs. I'm carrying gratitude — for the places that ground us, the experiences that shape us, and the souls who walk beside us.

Perhaps today, take a moment to think of someone who has touched your life — and let them know.

Stay present.

Stay grateful.

Notice the souls along the way.

Yoga Travels With Us: Finding Our Roots While Exploring The World 🌍🌳

After weeks of exploring Morocco, from the vibrant souks and ancient kasbahs to the stillness of the Sahara and the breathtaking beauty of the Atlas Mountains, I've returned home with a full heart, full of memories and plenty to reflect on.

One thing travel continually reminds me is that yoga doesn't stay on the mat. It travels with us.

Some of the most meaningful opportunities to practice yoga happen far beyond the studio — in how we experience new places, connect with people and respond to the world around us.

Travel takes us out of our comfort zones. It challenges our assumptions, broadens our perspectives and reminds us that there are so many different ways to experience life. Yoga gives us the tools to navigate these experiences with greater awareness, patience and compassion.

And perhaps that's the real beauty of the practice: it's not just about how we move our bodies, but how we move through the world.

As I settle back into familiar routines, I hope to carry a little of Morocco's magic with me — its warmth, its slower moments, its incredible people and, above all, its reminder to pause, appreciate and stay present.

So, wherever your journey takes you, remember:

🌿 Stay grounded, but remain open.
🌍 Travel with curiosity and respect.
❤️ Lead with compassion.
🧘‍♀️ Let your yoga practice extend far beyond the mat.

Because yoga isn't just somewhere we go to practice. It's something we take with us, wherever we go.

Namaste 🙏

🍂 The Autumnal Equinox | A Practice of Balance

Today, we welcome the autumnal equinox—a moment when day and night are nearly equal in length. A beautiful reminder from nature that balance is not only possible, but woven into the very rhythms of our world.

Light and dark. Yin and yang. Sun and moon. Effort and ease.

In yoga, we might recognize this as the dance of sthira and sukha—steadiness and ease. The sthira that grounds us in our work, our commitments, and the many things that ask for our energy; and the sukha that invites us to soften, to rest, to play, and to simply be.

As the seasons turn and the days grow shorter, the equinox offers us an invitation to pause and reflect: Where in our lives might we need a little more balance? Where are we giving too much of ourselves? And where might we allow a little more spaciousness, softness, or joy?

Of course, finding balance in our modern lives is often easier said than done. So much of our time and energy is spoken for, by both the things we choose and the things we must.

Perhaps balance isn't about giving everything equal measure. Perhaps it's about learning to listen—to recognize what is needed in each moment, and to honor the ebb and flow of our own rhythms.

Today, may we draw inspiration from the natural world. May we find steadiness without rigidity, ease without complacency, and a little more harmony between all the things that make us whole.

Wishing you a grounding, nourishing, and beautiful autumnal equinox.

With love

🌳🧘‍♀️🌍 Yoga Travels With Us — But It Also Teaches Us How To Travel.

I previously posted about Tree Pose and how it reminds me to stay grounded while remaining open to the world around me.

One oh the five Yamas is -- Ahimsa — non-harming, compassion —it invites us to move gently through new cultures: to respect local customs, people, environments and wildlife, and to approach what is unfamiliar with curiosity rather than judgement.

Patanjali offers another beautiful teaching in Yoga Sutra 1.33: for others to -- cultivate friendliness, compassion, appreciation and equanimity in our interactions with others.

Perhaps this is one of the gifts of travel — learning to pause, listen and meet people where they are.

Meet Muhammad, our driver and guide. We have five days together as we explore the villages in the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert. It has been a wonderful experience connecting with him and learning about each other. He wanted to try out some poses when we stopped for photos at the beautiful Ziz Gorge.

Stay rooted. Stay curious. Lead with kindness.

🌳🧘‍♀️🌍 Root down. Reach up. Keep exploring.

Vrksasana — Tree Pose — feels like the perfect asana for travel.

Trees teach us that growth comes from having strong roots while reaching for new heights. Travel teaches us something similar: stay grounded in who you are, while remaining open to new places, people and possibilities.

Here in Trafalgar Square, with the lions, I’m reminded that balance isn’t about standing still. It’s about finding your center while the world moves around you.

Rooted. Connected. Growing. Always exploring!

Happy Travels

Ebb and Flow: Finding Grace in Life’s Rhythms

Welcome to this new corner of my world—a space to pause, reflect, and explore the lessons that unfold both on and off the mat.

As a yoga teacher, practitioner, mother, friend, partner, and so on … I’m continually reminded that yoga extends far beyond our time on the mat. It lives in the way we meet challenges, navigate change, nurture relationships, and learn to be present with whatever life brings.

That’s what this space is about: bringing the practice into everyday life.

Honoring the Ebb and the Flow

Life moves in seasons. There are times when we feel energized, inspired, and ready to grow—and times when we need to slow down, turn inward, and simply rest.

Yet we often feel pressured to remain in constant motion, always doing more and striving for the next thing. We can forget that rest is not a retreat from life; it’s part of its rhythm.

Our yoga practice reminds us of this balance. Effort and ease, movement and stillness, expansion and surrender all have their place. Just as Savasana allows us to absorb the benefits of our practice, moments of quiet help us integrate the experiences that shape us.

Ebb and Flow is an invitation to honor both—to meet each season with greater awareness, compassion, and grace.

Reflections On and Off the Mat

Here, I’ll share my reflections on the practice of living mindfully, including:

  • Yoga Beyond the Asana: Exploring the philosophy, emotional insights, and inner shifts that emerge through practice.

  • Life Off the Mat: Reflecting on change, relationships, personal growth, and the imperfect beauty of being human.

  • Mindful Living: Simple rituals, breathwork, and journaling prompts to help bring more presence and intention into everyday life.

My hope is that these reflections offer something to return to—a fresh perspective, a moment of stillness, or a gentle reminder to listen to what you need.

A Space to Find Your Own Rhythm

This isn’t about having all the answers or striving for perfection. It’s about staying curious, making space for reflection, and learning to meet ourselves where we are.

Whether you’re in a season of growth or one that calls for rest, I hope you’ll find something here that resonates.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m glad you’re here.

Let’s keep learning, growing, and finding grace in the rhythms of life—together.
